Hi all, I aware you on some recent thing happened to me.
some fellow called her/himself “madam avelin regato” and mailed me privately saying that he/she happened to see my profile and mailed me.
I thought the thing could be of research interest. I replied her/him saying hello.
She/he responded with an unusual mail saying that she/he had millions and she/he would deposit in my a/c. i did not reply her/him from then. but i checked for the name in nature network and found the name with no details.
This, i know, a fraudulent mail and very common now a days . “BUT I WONDER THAT IT WAS THROUGH NATURE NETWORK!”
Beware of these things here after. .
What shall we do against all these things and any precautions?

Hi Vijaya,
Thanks for reporting this. It is unusual indeed. I will forward your concern to the right people and hope we can protect ourselves from abusers.

Hi Vijaya,
I’m the product development manager for Nature Network.
In each email sent form the system there is a link to report the email as spam. That will then alert the admins and we can check the user and ban them if they are spammers.
We can’t block users from joining Nature Network before they have shown themselves to be abusive (innocent until proven guilty), but our guidelines do encourage people to use their full names and we take a strong approach to moderating spam content.
I hope you enjoy interacting with people here on our network, and thank you for raising the issue.
All the best,
- Ian
