INDIA MAKING WAVES AT CERN....

Well…… India is really shining bright at CERN. Actually it has been making its presence felt from quite sometime. Namely the collaboration between ALICE and SINP, VECC in Kolkata and many other institutes all over India, Dr. Bikash Sinha leading the ALICE India contingent and Archana Sharma Ma’am as one of the leading scientists of CMS . All of the above and many more tie-ups have resulted in 11 Indian students(one of the largest contingent from the Non-Member states this year), being given the unique opportunity of interning at CERN and being a part of the prestigious CERN summer student programme, for the first time (but certainly not the last).I am really lucky to be one of them. It has really been a dream come true for all of us.This is the beginning and I am sure we will have many more meritorious students, in the future, continuing to make waves at CERN. So hereby thanking all those who have helped facilitate this internship, specially Bikash Sinha sir, Archana ma’am and the authorities of our respective colleges. Thanks a ton…. :D
And specially for all those future Indian(and other) summer students… CERN is really a great n happening place …!!! You all will surely have the time of your lives (rather the summer of your lives) out here….!!! :D
Cheers
Aranya
