Hi , I am Ankon, I have done my undergrads in computer science engg and I am presently doing my masters in Mathematics. I am also involved in a project that requires me to write codes for parallel computations. I have keen interest in Nanotechnology as I feel that it has the potential to bring radical changes to this world, and I want to use my creativity and ability to think innovative ideas in this field. However I do not have much idea about how to get into research in this field. Please help.

Hi Ankon,
I myself was a experimental (nano)chemist, but a lot of my friends (at Imperial College) do computer modelling of nanomaterials – from fluid flow within nanotubes, to interactions of biomolecules with gold nanoparticles. I don’t know where you are based (UK or abroad) but i’m sure most of the major UK research universities (UCL, Cambridge) will have similar groups doing nano modelling. Take a look at the link below (although this guy has now moved to Dublin) and see if you are interested.

Good luck!
