I was wondering if any of you could provide me with citations or general information about the lower limit of current LC/MS technology in consistently detecting metabolites in samples of low cell number? We are trying to do some metabolomics on some murine embryo samples and are having a difficult time getting consistant results. I would especially love to see any protocols that have been developed for doing LC/MS on low cell number samples.
