What I would find useful is a way to post all LSI related conferences and meetings here, with tags, so that they can be easily browsed, and using hCalender so that I can easily copy them into my personal agenda.

Egon, I love this idea and a properly working event submission would be nice, but this works only for Boston/London services?
I suggest we create a section somewhere else, e.g. as part of the Blue Obelisk and/or the Life Science Google group .
And initial collection can be found at the QSAR society

I wrote an email to the networking service, two actual drawbacks are non-editable forum entries and a suboptimal event mechanism. The first problems will lead to a messy and unorganized communication, especially if we try to aggregate information. The second is just annoying and needs definitely fixing.

About “Please invite friends and colleagues”: One of the problem is also, when sending a invitation to join a group, your personalized message does not appears in the body of the mail sent by the service and it may look like a spam. I already noticed this in the “What’s wrong” forum two weeks ago.
