I’m curious as to how much these sorts of sites get used. I know many CS folks who use online networks for trouble shooting (appeal to the hive mind of the semantic web?). What about front end issues though? There are
hundredsthousands of sites one can employ to help with (e.g.) gene sequencing data storage & analysis. Data mining and literature mining are hot button topics (a colleague of mine has a new company based on the latter; they just got their first paying client!).What else though? (How) Do we use these away from work? Do they have any expanded functionality?
