Let me get this forum started by asking people to comment on what they consider to be the top problems in life science informatics that need to be addressed or are insufficiently addressed by existing solutions.

I’ll reply myself. One of my biggest gripes with life science, especially molecular modeling is the sheer number of tools that tend to do the same thing, and the lack of emphasis on quantum leaps in methods that make many of the tools used truly predictive.
