Thank you for all the entries in response to ISME Journal’s recent cover competition. The successful image which was selected by delegates at ISME-12 was entered by Dr Jennifer Pett-Ridge. The image depicts metabolic interactions linked to molecular phylogeny in an Anabaena-Rhizobium cyanobacteria-epibiont association as revealed by stable isotope imaging (EL-FISH) with a high resolution Nano Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometer (NanoSIMS). The image will appear on the journal cover from the beginning of 2009. Congratulations to Jennifer and her co-authors!
