Recently another paper has been retracted from science for figure manipulation.
I wonder how this kind of laxity on part of journal editors particularly of science for being so generous even after the fiasco that happened with Dr Hoo suk Hwang (recently in news for really missed the good part of his research for manipulative fame). Its time the editors at these big journal brothers (High impact) should stop craving for big established names of the field and billboard advertorial research topics and go through the figures of all submitted manuscripts thoroughly. It will definitely help if they disclose the editors who supervised the published papers and all journals should make the authors contributions compulsory and send all editorial decisions to all the authors.
