In-cell NMR and post-translational protein phosphorylation.

We just published a paper that demonstrates the feasibility of in-cell NMR measurements for dissecting endogenous phosphorylation events in live oocyte cells and in cell-free extracts (as well as in in vitro reconstituted kinase reactions). I (obviously) think it’s quite a neat bit of work, especially when you are into kinase mechanisms etc..
I would love to hear your comments and about what part of the paper you like most. My personal favorite is the experiment described in supplementary figure 3. Although probably a bit difficult to grasp, I find its outcome way cool.

I read your paper recently and found it very impressive.
Great work and looking forward to read some more papers relating to In-cell studies for post-translational modifications :-)
I would be excited to read more on similar approach to proteins involved in DNA repair pathways and networks.
