Conference on Human Viruses and Translational Medicine, at NII

The National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi is hosting Human Virology & Translational Medicine Conference for two days (17 -18th November, 2008) at our institute. State of the Art lectures will be organized on human viruses that are a major public health problem in India. This conference will include renowned Virologists from prestigious institutes of India (NII, ND, JNCASR-Bangalore, AIIMS-ND, ICGEB-ND, CU-Hyderabad, NCCS-Pune, PGIMER-Chandigarh, IIT Chennai etc). Experts will discuss the present Indian situation with respect to current pathogenic human viruses that affect India, like HIV, hepatitis (B, C and E), Japanese Encephalitis, Rota virus, Influenza and SARS and provide translational avenues for intervention. Besides, several sessions are devoted on Translational Medicine, Bioinformatics, vaccine and molecular design.
Approximately 25 speakers from from India who are leaders in their subject areas will present their work and discuss the possibility of developing target based interventions. This meeting will allow opportunities for developing collaborations for increasing research outputs and provide novel translational avenues.
