Here’s to papers written 25 years ago and more. My pick is this.
Which paper (or papers) have most impressed you and maybe even determined future directions of your research because of its quality, cleverness, timeliness, or whatever? Have the conclusions since been modified or revised?

We already have this paper (Vane JR. Inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis as a mechanism of action for aspirin-like drugs) from 1971 in the Good Paper Journal Club. And of course this classic paper (Watson JD, Crick FD. Molecular Structure of Nucleic Acids; a structure for deoxyribose nucleic acid) from 1953.
