Dear all,
I am not sure anyone reads this anymore (probably my fault for being a very bad moderator…), but does anyone know what happened to the Genome Database (www.gdb.org)? It seems to have gone offline and I don’t know where to find microsatellite average heterozygosity information anymore. Any tips? I’d be very grateful.
Many thanks
Barbara

Dear Barbara Kremeyer,
The Genome Database has been unreachable for at least the last couple of weeks. I haven’t found any official statements about the discontinuation of the DB.
For microsatellite average heterozygosity info you might want to try the CEPH database at:
http://www.cephb.fr/en/cephdb/browser.php
Good luck.

Thanks so much. I hope they will eventually come back, since this resource is so useful!

Hello Barbara and Lars van der Veken,
Have you received any word regarding the gdb website? I am unfamiliar with the website but am now interested in using it, as a paper I’m interested in refers to the website. I’ll look at the CEPH database for now.
Thanks!
Melissa
