Significant % of events below zero

Does anyone have experience dealing with a significant number of events (20-30%)showing up below zero on the biexponential display in Diva with data acquired on the LSRII? Is this normal? I would expect some but not that high of a percentage 1-2 logs below zero. Any thoughts/feedback would be appreciated.
