Dear readers, please find the feedback for the Parasitology meeting “Technological advances in understanding host responses to parasites and parasite manipulation of host responses “which we held on 29th June 2007.
Euroscicon’s comments
The meeting went well although it was not very well attended which was a great pity.
Dr Nisbet was a very friendly and helpful chair and all the speakers gave very good and interesting presentations. We hope that Dr Cadman is feeling much better! (she had a bad cold on the day).
The poster prize was won by Prof Cortes who was presented with the laser pointer by the chair.
From the feedback forms
All the delegates were satisfied with the scientific content of the meeting, and most would consider coming to this or another of our meetings. There were a number of delegates who were disappointed with the attendance at the meeting and the reduced opportunities for networking that this afforded.
Comments on the venue
The venue facilities were considered to be very good
Comments on the catering
Everyone was very happy with the catering.
My comments
It was unfortunate that we had such a low attendance for this meeting. We had such a great agenda and some extremely interesting talks. We will think about repeating this event using a slightly different angle to hopefully attract the attendees and if you have any comments or suggestions please do place them here, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Gail
