The first Portuguese Forum in Computational Biology is going to take place at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, in Oeiras (a city near Lisbon), July 10-12 2008. This forum aims to be the first edition of a regular annual gathering of portuguese and international researchers to communicate and discuss recent progress and key issues in the field.

Three forms of scientific communications will be contemplated in this first edition: keynote lectures who will overview latest developments in specific topics; short invited talks by researchers in Portugal or portuguese abroad; and poster sessions open to the community on any topic in computational biology.

Anyone interested in this field is invited to register and participate in the Forum. Please visit: http://bc.igc.gulbenkian.pt/fpbc2008/
