Sense of the community

For those of us not fortunate enough to have attended the Charles Warren Workshop this past week in New Hampshire, it would be great to hear a little about it. Are there ways that we can use this group to further that discussion?

Some of the Warren Workshop attendees have indicated to me that there was broad interest in discussing the different pathways currently employed for glycoproteomic analysis. In some cases, depth of coverage and certainty of structural assignments are sacrificed for breadth of profile. At the other extreme, a handful of structures are intensely investigated, shining bright light on a small number of trees in a big forest. Both approaches have merit but require different standards for evaluation/review. Does it make sense that we should, as a community, establish criteria that outline minimally acceptable datasets and method descriptions? What should these criteria look like? Should they be linked to specific methodologies or instrumentation?
