        American Cancer Society Cancer Survivors Network is a vibrant community established by people whose lives have been touched by cancer.

        Members can:

        - View CSN members’ personal web pages to find others like yourself, email other CSN members, post to the discussion boards,and have private chats.

        - Create their own personal web page to share your experience, thoughts and wisdom. You can even post photos on your page.

        - Receive a monthly e-newsletter.

        - Be notified each time they receive new CSN email.

        - Post poems, music, artwork, favorite quotes or other inspirational messages in the Expressions Gallery.

        - Create their own personal support community using the friends list.

        - Start new, virtual support communities of people who share their concerns and interests.

        - Customize their own start page to organize the site for your specific needs.

        - Post information about resources they have used and would recommend to other survivors or family caregivers.

        The monthly public lectures at UCLA provide latest information, practical advise and answers for cancer patients and their families.

        The next lecture titled Lymphomas 2007 – The Latest News is on August 7th. Sven de Vos, MD, PhD, UCLA Assistant Professor, medical oncologist and researcher, provides an overview of Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Research is leading to better understandings of the many lymphoma subtypes including their genetic make-up. Standard treatment strategies as well as novel approaches, based on the most recent research, are discussed including topics such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, monoclonal antibodies, stem cell (bone marrow) transplant, immunologic therapies and other targeted approaches.
