This is one of the most pathogenic organism for human beings and there is no treatment once the disease sets in, though one can get rid of the symptoms with medications. It is unique too as it is lacks most of the classical virulence factors that are commonly seen in most of the bacteria. The classification is also very complex in this species and ofcourse the vaccination which is an immediate requirement makes this bacteria very potential candidate for research. It could be used as biological warfare agent.
