Do you participate in a group blog, or would you think about doing so? What are the pros and cons?

    • Would certainly think about it – one issue that comes to mind is if certain topics come up that one does not feel likewise about (the dreaded ‘never talk about politics, religion or the best way to raise your kids…’), you could find yourself lumped in with ‘oh you think X and Y’ when it’s in fact your blog-mate/s opinion or behaviour.
Probably best to have a standard regarding the issues that would be touched upon and discuss with the group if there is something that might raise some ire. A focus on an agreed theme would probably help.
Pros – reputation as a cohort can be improved if there is enough time and effort put into the blog. I would probably suggest allocated days for people, just so there isn’t too much pressure or overwhelming number of posts for readers during certain times of the week.

    • My very first attempt to blog, was in a team. That team was part of a blog website. I wrote there for a few months, which was a nice experience. What I saw as a downside, that the team members were not really working together and there was not even a coordinator from the side of the website.
Thus a few unpleasant debates between team members appeared in the blog via the comments.
I feel now team ( online ) meetings could be a solution to this issue.
