Hi

I have some ideas about the nature of consciousness and experience and I want to discuss them with someone

    • Well, you have come to the right place! Look elsewhere in this forum and you will find, if I am not wrong, the longest-running discussion on Nature Network!

    • Dear Austin,

don’t hesitate. Share your views and see who is responding.

    • Hi, Austin

After a couple weeks waiting for your response and I thought I’d post my thoughts.

The best “pure theory” model of consciousness I’ve come across can be found here

The tome presents a mathematical, Cartesian relationship linking all forms of biological life to a Creative entity, or God. If you prefer to gloss over the jump to infer the existence of a Creator the tome remains a fascinating mathematical presentation.

Inferring for the existence of a Creator the author expresses this line of thought: at one time soon after the Big Bang there were two and only two entities in existence inside the universe. One entity was the raw, naked energy expanding to create the second entity of three dimensional space. Breaking the raw, naked energy into the two Attracting/Repelling qualities found within all forms of force within energy, Big Bang theory still postulates only an expanding 3-D volume of space and energy in existence inside the universe. Two things exist inside the early universe, and the author’s reasoning infers that the energy and the space by themselves cannot after billions of years transform themselves into any other “thing” inside the universe. Some other “thing” is directing the energy of the universe. To the author, the logic of mathematics, ie. the associative, distributive, commutative, etc., laws of mathematics appears to be a clue as to how this other “thing” is directing the energy inside the universe.

The author of the tome of the above treatise has a Web page here

Like all good theory, if one can build from it than it’s worth is gold. Anything else is more than less word salad.

Careful with whatever information you post here at Nature or anywhere on the Web, Austin. Don’t compromise a potential copyright you could claim. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot. :)
