  You’re probably better off emailing an editor with your questions, or looking for job postings.

  Asking that question in a forum is not a great way to get hired.

  Dear Lalitha,
  After finishing my PhD I spent a few months doing an internship in a systems biology journal. It was an interesting experience that I recommend even for those that want to continue the academic path. I believe nature, like other publishers, have internship programs as well. You should consider sending an email to the proper department asking about these programs or any other potential vacancy.
