Here is a short preview on some of the NNBerlin activities ahead. We are planning to dig into the wealth of world class scientists at this years XX International Congress of Genetics that will be held in Berlin in July (12-17). Our idea is to use our contacts to ‘persuade’ some of the distinguished speakers to participate in a number of exclusive Nature Network events, and to thereby provide our members the opportunity to closely interact with leading scientists in the field of genetics. Several outstanding researchers have already signaled their interest and we are in the progress of arranging the details for the planned event(s).
Be prepared for a hot scientific summer!
Dear Philipp, Thank you very much for your effort :) That would be very nice and very interesting! Regards, Roopa
This sounds like a great idea. NPG/Nature Genetics has a rather (sadly) quiet blog called Free Association. Maybe you could contact Myles Axton, Editor of Nature Genetics, to explore the idea of Free Assoc posting in advance about, and blogging, the meeting, possibly via some guest posts from the NN Berlin group? I imagine one or some of the Nature Genetics editors will be going to the congress (I can send you Myles’s email address if you contact me via Nature Network email, if you like.)
