Have you ever wondered about careers in scientific publishing? What is it like being a manuscript editor, a science writer, or a copy editor? You can find out by posting your careers question here. Editors at Nature, including ones who hire editors here, will answer your queries.
If you have a question about publishing in the Nature journals, peer review, etc, you can still post them here and they’ll get answered.
A basic ground rules:
1. Post each question as a separate topic in the forum. This will help keep the questions organized.
2. Read through the questions already posted before putting up yours, to avoid posting multiple versions of the same question.
3. Stay on topic. Questions and replies that are clearly off-topic or inappropriate will be deleted.

For those interested in “dipping a toe in” to a science publishing career, Naturejobs is currently running a competition for postdocs to write its Postdoc Journal for next year (2008), which is published in Nature itself throughout the year.
