The European office of Nature in Munich offers regular 6-12 week work-experience periods (on a voluntary basis) to those wishing to learn about, and participate in, the day to day operation of a science news office. Also suitable for students studying science journalism or science communication. German language an advantage but not a necessity.

Nature Publishing Group also runs a 6-month graduate internship scheme in their London office, which I took part in before starting my current job at Nature Clinical Practice.
It’s usually advertised in the spring so I will post the application details when I spot them online.

Here’s the job advert for the Nature Publishing Group intership.
I’ve written a bit more about it here.
