Calorie Restriction Science and Practice Forum

Calorie restriction is frequently decribed as the only dietary means of extending life in laboratory animals. However, little research has been done in humans. So in 2002, Meredith Averill, President of the Board of the calorie restriction Society and I worked with scientists at Washington University to help establish the first longitudinal study of long-term calorie restricted humans. We are hard at work to establish longevity markers and are open to collaborations.
