Hypothesis Forum
Moderators:
“Was there a time when organism welcomed viruses?”
“Are Hox genes and microRNAs key factors in Cambrian explosion of life ?”
“Is the role David-mature played in evolution an important one or just our misunderstanding?”
Usually inspired by a sudden “aha moment”, we may come up with wild ideas likes these above. Some of these ideas sound immature, unconventional and even crazy. But we can’t deny the possibility that great theories might rest behind these crazy thought. More often than not, being too hard to be proved, too unconventional to attract any funds, too wild to be accepted by colleagues, these ideas just flash and die away. Encouraged by the power and efficiency of community annotation in genomics, I create this group. I hope that community efforts might change the fate of these wild ideas, thus making a novel way of scientific discovery.
Here, I sincerely invite anyone who has a fierce love for nature and science, who are ready to challenge conventional theory, who conceives a ton of ideas to join “Hypothesis”. Only one quality is required: never laugh at anybody, no matter how naive, immature or crazy their ideas are.
The goal of this group:?
1 wild ideas hypothesismature theory.
2 connecting people
3 promote information exchange
How?
Idea selection:
Members in this group can come up with an original idea. He or she shares it with others .So that this idea can be widely viewed. It will be easier to know whether this idea has been proved or not .Novel and controversial idea may attract hot discussion. Evidence may rise from diverse aspects that single teams are not able to set foot in all. Approaches may be provided from different disciplines that single teams are not able to master all. Finally highly possible hypothesis and the way to prove it may be selected by the community, much the way like phylum emergence in Cambrian explosion.
Let’s enjoy brain storm through discussion, pass on the ideas, and make them mature enough to become hypothesis, until they reach a place where they can be proved. Please don’t be shy to share ideas.
