Has systems biology really worked? Can we identify a single, clear, undisputable success story (commercialized and applied)?

Dear Group,
I have a really simple question, that I’d love to hear your responses on. For those in the field of systems biology (or perhaps even as an outsider), has this field yet produced its one major success story? In other words, can you identify a therapeutic, or biologically produced entity (e.g., bioethanol) that has resulted from a systems biology approach?
This was recently highlighted as a debate at a conference I attended, and there were really passionate responses to this, yet, no one could identify a clear example…
Of course, success can be defined in many ways, but from a more practical perspective, I mean an approved medical or industrial biotechnology product, commercialized, and contributing to society.
I’ve got my own opinions, but I’ll wait to see what others think….
Cheers,
Manny
