Profile
Current high throughput genomics technologies generate large quantities of high dimensional data. The aim of “Integrative Bioinformatics” is to capture, model, integrate and analyse these data in a consistent way to provide new and deeper insights into complex biological systems.
“Therefore, a key challenge for biology in the twenty-first century is to understand the structure and the dynamics of the complex intercellular web of interactions that contribute to the structure and function of a living cell” (Barabási & Oltvai).
