What sorts of new features and functionality do you want to see on the website as a whole? This will help inform and guide our plans for 2008.

Corie, I had previously sent this to you via email. Perhaps I should list it here to see whether the idea is welcomed by others:
Wish: A geographic map of one’s contacts and friends, with flags/icons/whatever pinpointed at the geographic location of each contact. When one travels to a conference, or just when on vacation somewhere, it makes it easier to get in touch – in the real world – with people previously met on the NNetwork. May not need to reinvent the wheel for this – several interactive maps of the world exist on the web and it should not be too hard to pick a free service for such an implementation
Ciao, Massimo

I would like to see support for a blogging API so that I could use an external application to write my blog posts (MarsEdit on the Mac in my case).

Well, I think a scientific community without enough and easily-got scientific questions or topics is not integral. Some members may be reluctant to be involved in discussions unless there are interesting topics, as well as the concentration of interesting topics exceeding a threshold.
So my advice is that we can co-operate with Amazon or ISI or other publishers to develope a grading system of scientific books and papers. Degree of peer-reviewing can be moderated with special settings as needed. Synthesized with enough intersting topics, more people will “flock” here.
