“The woods decay, the woods decay and fall,
The vapours weep their burthen to the ground,
Man comes and tills the field and lies beneath,
And after many a summer dies the swan. Me only cruel immortality Consumes;”

from Tithonus, by Alfred Tennyson

One of the most importent need of all living being is aliveness, means never die!
we controle ageing with the help of stem cell is true?
we found different lineage of stem cell regeneration occur time to time, and stem cell have its own time to kill himself, so the main aim to stop the killing process of stem cell.
stem cell nich is the stem cell home and our work to maintain its home and environment.
The control of stem cell aging has, until now, been poorly understood, there is specific factors are associated with an age-dependent decline in the function of stem cells and their
microenvironment, called a niche. By the research on stem cell ageing proteins called bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs), which plays an important role in the development of many tissues. Researchars found that as BMP signaling activity from the niche decreases with age, the stem cell’s ability to proliferate is compromised, and the stem cell population declines. Conversely, they established that an increase in BMP signaling can prolong the lifespan of stem cells and promote proliferation.
Second, the adhesion between stem cells and their niche. Strong adhesion can prolong a stem cell’s lifespan, and weakened adhesion can enhance stem cell aging.
If we learn how to slow down stem cell aging by manipulating functions of stem cells and/or their niche, we may be able to slow down aging and the progression of age-related degenerative diseases.
so the future is depend on it…?
