I assume the easiest way to get to the hotel is to fly to San Jose and take a taxi from there?

Either San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco (SFO) airports will do. SJC is a bit closer, but SFO is easier to get to for many international travellers. The Googleplex – and the SciFoo hotel – are both about 20 mins drive from SJC and 30 mins from SFO, so a cab would do it.
