Dear all,
I am looking for information about writing/editing internship programs at Nature, but I didn’t manage to find any information.
Where and when are these positions advertised?
For those who are currently involved in such programs (or have been) could you please provide some details about the application process (e.g. what experience you need) or about the length of the program, whether it is regularly held during some period of the year…?
Thanks,
Claudia

What timing, the Nature Publishing Group graduate internship 2008 has just been advertised! The six-month internship runs from September 2008 in both the London and the New York offices.
The scheme aims to get science graduates into other areas of scientific publishing, ie marketing, advertising sales or new technology, although there is also the opportunity to get some editorial experience.
I started out my career at Nature Publishing Group as an intern in Nature Clinical Practice, where I now work as an editorial assistant. My intake included new graduates, PhD graduates and postdocs from all fields of science, ranging from geoscience to biotechnology.
Good candidates would be interested in all aspects of scientific communication and in issues affecting the publishing industry, for example the free access debate, and also have a grasp of commercial aspects of the business, such as marketing.
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask me any questions!

Dear Helen,
thanks for the information.
I might actually be interested for next year program, but still thanks, now I have a better idea of the time scales.
