Reply from Deepak Singh

Ah … the Kindle is evil … makes you pay to download blogs and .. DRM

It’s strange. I haven’t read a scientific publication in print form in a while (not even printed out), but I can’t even think of using an ebook reader to read, e.g. Lord of the Rings

Reply from Li Kim Lee

I have not used an e-reader yet, Maxine! However I am tempted by the Kindle, which looks stylishly retro. There is a semi-persuasive argument for it in the online “issue” of New York Times today. However it does not offer Harry Potter :)

Thanks for the link, Matt. I will watch the documentaries at full volume when I get home!

I blogged about this elsewhere, but the BlueSci group at Cambridge have a wonderful documentary about the Large Hadron Collider – put together by students in their spare time.

Reply from Maxine Clarke

Glad to discover in this increasingly online world that I am not the only person to “flick” through a copy of Nature each week, Li-Kim ;-)
Or maybe you’re using an e-reader? (not, I am sure!)
