Hello,

I was just wondering people made of the new findings that prostate-cancer mortality rates in America are dropping quicker than in the UK.

Prostate-cancer mortality in the USA and UK in 1975-2004: an ecological study.

There is no clear evidence the decrease is linked to PSA testing, we’ll have to wait for the trails, ERSPC and PLCO , to finish. As the authors of the paper say, the Americans treat locally advanced prostate disease more aggressively than in the UK, this could be a factor.
