Retracting a paper

How does one retract a paper from Precedings?

I suspect that retraction would involve submitting a document, stating the retraction, as a new version of the paper. The original paper (and any subsequent versions) will remain a part of the Precedings content.

    • Yes, that’s right. You can post a new version of any document appearing on Precedings. It will receive it’s own DOI and be separately citable, but readers of any older versions will be alerted to the existence of the new version.

In extreme cases, a new version could take the form of a retraction. Since Precedings is intended to be a stable archive, older items are not removed but remain in the system and continue to be citable with their original DOI.
