      <description>&lt;p&gt;Hi Santosh&amp;#8212;Unfortunately it&amp;#8217;s unclear when (or if) PubMed might index preprints.  There is a long-standing debate regarding gray literature and PubMed (and PubMed Central), which, as you might have guessed, is highly political.  Rob Kling provides a nice history of this debate in his article, &lt;a href="http://rkcsi.indiana.edu/archive/CSI/WP/wp01-03B.html"&gt;The Remarkable Transformation of E-Biomed into PubMed Central&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;


	&lt;p&gt;I suspect that the non-peer-reviewed articles included in PubMed still receive editorial review.  For example, New York Times articles are included in PubMed (try searching: &amp;#8220;The New York times&amp;#8221;[Jour] or &amp;#8220;Washington Post&amp;#8221;[Jour]).&lt;/p&gt;</description>
