Nature is testing a new free open-access service that will allow scientists to rapidly share, discuss, and cite early findings. We’re actively looking for researchers who are interested in submitting pre-publication research and preliminary findings in anticipation of a public launch in mid-June. Submissions will be screened by our professional curators, and all documents are archived, openly available, and citable.

More information about the project is available in a recent Nature editorial:
http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v447/n7145/full/447614a.html

Please contact precedings@nature.com if you are interested.

To sign up for information about the public launch, visit http://precedings.nature.com

    • I would have gone to the link about open-access publishing but it was behind a screen asking me to pay for access!!!!

    • I assume you are referring to the recent editorial in Nature—the irony is duly noted!

However, Nature Precedings will be free and open-access. We look forward to hearing any thoughts or ideas you have about the service.
