After the success of the last nyc party, it is time to now start to plan for the next! Please go here and vote for when we should do this. It is almost certainly going to be at The Heights around Columbia and, don’t worry, it will start later (although that didn’t stop a whole mess of people). We’ll leave the voting open for the next couple of weeks and then announce the outcome.

Right now, May 21 is winning, according to the poll (but only after 8 votes!!) I am leaning towards just going with this date, as I have just found out that I will be traveling and will only return the evening of May 14. We will keep the voting open a little longer, but unless there are strong objections, we may be inching towards May 21 for the next get-together…

the downside of may 21 is that it’s graduation day so the whole CU area will be a complete charlie foxtrot.
may 22 or the earlier week are prolly much better.

i agree with chris—uws is invested with graduates and their loving and supportive friends and family the week of commencement. It actually brings a tear to my eye each year, but that’s another story and fodder for beer talk.
i am checking now with amsterdam cafe about the week before …and will make a couple more calls today. so can i throw in another date, say may 14? -
Stay tuned, nyc. the poll showed that next Wednesday was your preferred date. Well, you asked and you shall receive, despite the short turn-around time.
Since Columbia is too close to graduation, we felt that it was best to stay away from there and have our far upper west side gathering in June. Tentatively, we will be going to the upper east side this time, near Rockefeller and Weill. The announcement will be posted soon, but keep the May 14 date!!
