Technorati

All your blogs should appear on the blog indexing site Technorati.
We use a bit of code to automatically add new blogs to this service, so you don’t need to set up the ‘ping’ they recommend.
To check, search for your blog’s name in the Tehnorati search bar. Then click on the ‘blogs’ tab when the results appear.
You can use Technorati to see who’s linking to you.

Yes it works!
Ciao Matt. -
It works, alright… Zero fans, just as I expected!! :]
-
Mine is there too, but it doesn’t show any of my more recent posts… what gives?
-
Sometimes it takes a little while to get in their index and sometimes it misses posts. No idea why. I’ve seen this happen with blogs not on Nature Network. Technorati can be temperamental.

The key words of my blog’s name is too common so I have to add ‘nature network’ to refine the search.

Thank you Matt!
Yet another step closer to phasing out the need for a ghost blog in Blogger…

I confirm what Matt writes about Technorati being slow sometimes, as I’ve noticed this over the years. It can depend on the blogging platform (Blogger, Typepad, WordPress and so on).
Technorati is perhaps becoming less relevant than Google Blog Search these days, and you don’t need to “ping” GBS.
However, I’ve found Feedburner, an aggregator service, to be very good, and in very wide use. I don’t know if there are plans for N Network to “ping” that as well as Technorati. -

Yes, Martin. I wanted to claim my blog… and check its ranking compulsively.
