Thanks very much, Matt.

That was very informative and I’m sure others will find that useful should they have problems navigating through Nature Network.

Reply from Matt Brown

Thanks Ai Lin, and hello everyone.

I’m one of two editors on Nature Network. With my counterpart, Corie Lok in Boston, we perform many roles on Nature Netowrk.

1)I keep an eye on Nature Network, making sure material is appropriate and helping new users get the most out of the site.

2) I’m in charge of the London section of the site. This ‘local hub’ offers extra features such as local event listings, jobs and news. We may start one of these in Asia sometime soon.

3) I write and commission news stories for the London section of Nature Network.

4) I help our software developers improve the site, by feeding back comments from scientists. New features are added to the site almost weekly.

My background is in molecular biology. Before coming to Nature last year, I was an editor of the journal Current Opinion in Chemical Biology (Elsevier). In my spare time, I do a lot of reading and writing about the history of London, the city in which I live and work.

I’m loking forward to meeting some of you on this and other Nature Network forums.
