I’m working with HCC1569 estrogen receptor negative cells and I have been following the protocal but still can’t get them to grow to confluency. Any suggestions/advice??

The current protocal that I’m using for these cells

    • You may want to split at a lower subcultivation ratio (eg 1/8 or 1/10), and then observe if they can grow to confluency. Perhaps also try pipeting up and down more when dissociating with trypsin so that they’re more evenly dispersed when dispensing into a new flask. Alternatively, try a larger flask, and see if they grow better. The following page also contains some general information on taking good care of cells: Taking Care of Cells in Tissue Culture
