Specific anti-FLAG tag antibody.

Hello everybody.
Does anyone know really specific anti-FLAG tag antibody which could be used for Western blot from various mouse tissues? I am using M2-anti-FLAG-HRP from Sigma and that’s generating multiple bands, specifically a band around 45 kDa which is unfortunately my expected band located?
Thanks,
Mary

Hi Mary,
M2 anti-FLAG tag antibody is usually very good for WB. Try to dilute it much more. What conditions do you use? Also, pre-adsorbtion of the diluted antibody on the old blotted membrane helps.
Good luck,

Hi,
Flag tag gives a lot of background especially in brain tissue. The problem is not in the antibody but that the FLAg sequence is present naturally resulting in this background.

Dear Marek,
Sorry for replying too late. Many thanks. I’ll try according to your suggestion.
