You’ve alreayd helped yourself narrow your career path by deciding you want to somehow be involved in clinical trials. The question you need to ask yourself is, do you prefer lab work, in vivo testing and data analysis? Or would you rather deal with regulatory affairs paperwork and clinical trial design and management? If you prefer the first, then shoot for a CRA. If the second sounds good, then consider a career in clinical programming. Having said that, I think being involved in any aspect of clinical trials gives you more vision into the field and opportunities to build up new skills and move into other areas of clinical research.
