Opportunities for Young researchers

Hi all,
I recently had seen in a purely research degree awarding Deemed university’s website that some of its just passed out Ph.D. students / scholars have been awarded INSA medal. I wonder because we get stipend, a degree, but above all, a distinguishing award. Where else this can happen.
But it would be a great help if the senior people here give us, the new / very young people to research, the details of all such awards possible during the course of / based on ones’s Ph.D. and what percent of people have / expected to achieve it?
See most people who do Ph.D. tend to complete their minimum required work and go to foreign for post doc., etc. and obviously become un-elligible for these awards as most of them are meant for the research work done in India and for those below 35 years.
So a deep awareness on such awards will make one to do some excellent research work in their Ph.D. itself.
Thanks to all you n advance!!!
