Unfortunately I couldn’t make the meeting on May 1st, but I hear it went very well. I was told that The Chair (Prof Schoenmakers) was very helpful and gave a nice introduction at the beginning of the meeting. All the speakers gave good presentations and were confident speakers. All the feedback about the content very good.
I was also particularly interested about comments on the venue as we have only started to use the Biopark at Welwyn, but I have heard that most of the delegates liked the venue, some comments included:
• Cosy & not intimidating
• Spacious, easy distance from station
• Spacious, free parking
We are thinking of running another microarays event and there were comments that people would have liked to have heard about the following
• Clinical applications
• Diagnostic & microRNA microarrays – rapid detection
• Rapid diagnostic tools for microbiology
• Plant research
• Biological assay applications
• Biological versus medical research
So if there is anyone out there who knows of good speakers in these areas we would be very happy to hear from you – please contact charlotte.lawson@eurosccon.com
If you were at this event we would like to hear more about how you felt it went and if you would like to continue discussions about the talks or any other aspects of performing DNA microarrys then here is the place – SHARA
