Ten commandments in systems biology

I read in this blog, that at the 5th European Conference on Complex Systems, held last week in Dresden, Prof. Denis Noble talked about his (revolutionary) views of Systems Biology. He called his experience as ten commandments in systems biology:
Commandment 1 (C1): Gene itself has no functions.
C2: Transmission of information is NOT one-way
C3: DNA is not sole transmitter of inheritance
C4: Theory of biology Relativity
C5: Gene ontology will fail without high-level insight
C6: There is no ‘genetic program’
C7: There is no program at any other level
C8: No program from any level, including brain
C9: Life is the self integrated process, not an object or substance.
C10: There are many more to be discovered, the theories of biology do NOT yet exist. Seeking theory/ies is real challenge in system biology.
It would have been really interesting to hear Prof. Nobel’s arguments, because these are points of interesting discussion… Do theories of biology not yet exist?! (what about the theory of evolution?) Is it a myth trying to understand the organism only from gene level up to cell level? All in all, should we rethink Systems Biology?
