can we be made privy to what nature editors make income-wise? entry level to senior positions

I am not sure whether this question is at all appropriate, but I would like to know how salaries for entry level editors at Nature or any of the Nature research journals compare to positions offered in academia post-postdoc. I am aware that this query is not completely kosher but I am not asking for actual figures, just an informative comparison. It is quite difficult to accurately consider one’s options without this bit of information, which is not easily procured I am finding. Do editors make as much as full professors? Associates/Readers? Assistants/Lecturers? What is the range?
Thank you.

It would depend on the editorial position, as there is a range of seniority levels as well as a range of editorial jobs.
We don’t publish salaries when we advertise for positions, but they are certainly in line with publishing industry standards, and compare favourably with equivalent positions in academia. Your question is essentially unanswerable, though, because when we hire people at Nature, their salary will be determined partly by their experience and qualifications. Similary, there is a huge range in academic salaries, depending on country, funder, employer, experience level and so on.
