Obviously, science is part of society. However, to some it is easy to pretend it isn’t. A wide “gap” between what happens in labs and what happens in hospitals, supermarkets, at clubs or fairs and otherwise, is nevertheless considered unwanted.

How do you reach out across the boundaries of your experiments, your lab, your institute? Do you write articles in news-papers? Do you do so to “educate the public” or to “stimulate debate”? Do you visit science cafés, appear on TV or radio, write popular books, organise disussion sessions, open up your lab to the public once every semester?

Let us known and tell us why. Tell us why you do it, why you do it this particular way and whether it feels right.
