At last night’s pub night, conversations ranged from the magical mysteries of impact factors, to MIT’s new cancer building (groundbreaking expected next week), local scientists who are part of rock bands and, inevitably, the latest wacky science videos making the rounds on Youtube.
People were raving about a video from Biorad (the equipment supplier), which was so overflowing in cheese that I cringed. Who would have thought a PCR machine could illicit so much, er, emotion?
What are your favorite science videos? Post links to them here.
The people behind the Better PCR VIdeo, Biocompare” with Tyler Kay, made some other excellent science videos:
Agilent PCR Kit as a football play by play.
Great Moments in Lab History about an Agilent HPLC system.
Binder CO2 incubator
The Sciclone Workstation can save a marriage (includes marriage counceling).
Labchip Electrophoresis System as a dating show. This is my favorite clip, very high nerd factor.
